CleanByte
FAQ

Questions we get asked

What is digital waste?

Anything your company stores, runs or pays for that no longer creates value: duplicates, stale and dark data, unused licences, orphaned accounts, legacy systems, redundant backups and ungoverned AI tools.

Can CleanByte staff see our data?

No. SIVA and the AI Janitor Agents run inside your environment under a zero-access policy, with end-to-end encryption. CleanByte staff cannot access client data.

Will SIVA delete anything on its own?

No. SIVA recommends and queues actions. Deletes, merges and archives wait for the right person to approve them, and every action is logged.

What does the free data analysis include?

An estimate of how much of your data is waste, what it costs, how many AI Janitor Agents you need and which plan fits. There is no cost and no commitment.

Which platforms do you connect to?

More than 30, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SharePoint, Slack, Dropbox, Box, AWS, Azure and Salesforce.

How do credits work?

Every plan includes monthly credits. Scans, cleaning actions, reports and SIVA queries each use a set number of credits. Upgrading always costs less per credit than buying top-ups.

Is our Digital Hygiene Score public?

No. Your internal score is visible only inside your dashboard. A public score requires Clean Standard certification, which you choose to apply for.

How does Clean Standard certification work?

You apply, CleanByte verifies your score across all 14 drivers, and you receive a certificate and digital emblem. AA and AAA holders also receive a plaque. Certification is renewed every year and billed separately.

What is the agent marketplace?

Clients listed on the Clean Index can rent out the agents they have trained to companies in the same industry. Rented agents carry trained skills only, never client data.

Who is CleanByte for?

Companies of any size that store large amounts of data, with a focus on regulated sectors such as financial services, healthcare, real estate and government.
